Hosting UNESCO day

Remembering the Transatlantic Slave Trade and Its Abolition

I had the privilege of hosting the UNESCO Day for Remembering the Transatlantic Slave Trade and Its Abolition at City Hall for the second time.

It wasn’t just an event — it was a reminder.
A reminder of lives stolen, cultures reshaped, and the resilience of those who endured.
A reminder that remembrance isn’t about the past alone, but about the choices we make in the present.

As Londoners, and as global citizens, the question remains:
What does it mean for us to remember?
And more importantly:
How do we turn that memory into action?

I continue to host and speak at events that challenge, inspire, and connect communities. From remembrance to resilience, my mission is to give voice to stories that matter, while engaging audiences with respect, honesty, and impact.
