Eddie believes that we must all ‘give back’ & has been true to this ethos throughout his career raising hundreds of thousands for charity over the years.
Every show or event raises money for charities whether through a raffle, gameshow or just an appeal for donations. He has also organised events such as Stand Up For Haiti in response to world disasters.
When he had cancer in 2007 he made a promise that if he survived he would do a charitable event every year.
Eddie has hosted tables & shows for the African Leukaemia Trust as well as giving blood in order to raise awareness. He ran in the 2012 marathon to raise funds for them, raising thousands of pounds

In 2015 he undertook the toughest challenge of his life.
On July 3rd 2015 with The Boss Lady Mrs. Nestor, his manager Sarah Eckert Moore and fitness instructor Dave McQueen, they began their ascent of Africa’s highest mountain Kilimanjaro, via the Machame route a journey that would take 6 days. Robbie Gee was also supposed to take part but was unable to make the weight limit having spent most of his time training in McDonald’s so Eddie undertook the climb with Lisa, Sarah and Dave. Together they raised over £40,000 for the Africa Leukaemia Trust, MacMillan Cancer Support, the Rudolph Walker Foundation & Urban Synergy.
Eddie achieved a lifelong dream of his to have a six pack and raised over £4,000 for Diabetes UK in 2016

Eddie has also co-hosted 11 shows at the Hackney Empire which raised over £100,000 for Kwahu Tafo a small town in Ghana, both Rudolph Walker CBE’s 70th & 80th birthday celebrations also at the Hackney Empire which between them raised £17,000 for the Rudolph Walker Foundation.
He is a patron of Urban Synergy a community-based charity providing mentors to young people at a crossroads in their lives. It is amazing what young people can achieve when they are given love, boundaries and guidance.
