Tougher than tough

Morning!!

Today is one of those days when tiredness determines that I have no choice but to slow down, rather like this misery line train.

Today I am uncle.

I can confirm that no matter how tough it is in London, it’s worse in other areas. This weekend I walked around Birmingham, Leicester and Wolverhampton city centres and wow.
I’m not going to get too political, I’ll do that tomorrow when I tell you about my child’s head teacher asking me to get involved in BHM.

I am going to tell you about a brass neck.
Do you know what that is? Well Rob always tells me that in Jamaica they say someone is so feisty they would take your eye and come back for the lashes.

So I am looking for a coffee and because I am allergic to Costa prices, I opted for the Greggs across the road for my black coffee with no sugar. As I am coming in I see a woman coming out. She hands a homeless guy some food. And says “Here is the bacon 🥓 roll you asked for (I think it was a roll) Anyways that is not important.
He says thank you and I am grateful that it was her before me because badman is broke.
The kind lady goes and while I am waiting for my order he (the homeless guy) comes to the counter and asks to change the order. Apparently the bacon was too well done. I caught the eye of the server and looked away immediately. I couldn’t help him. This is where I would get myself in trouble. I would have asked him for the receipt.

Reminds me of the time when I went to the Pret and gave the guy a £10 note and when he gave me my change I protested. This guy went off about people trying to scam him and blah blah blah. When he finished I told him that he had given me too much change and I didn’t want him to get in trouble. Ooh that was so satisfying. It’s got nothing to do with the bacon roll but I am tired.

Anyway I stood outside because I wanted to know how this turned out. He gave him the new roll and told him that he wasn’t allowed to stand outside anymore. WEAK.

What do you think? Would you have changed it? Was it a brass neck scenario or was the guy perfectly within his rights to change it and then ask what they were doing with the one he no longer wanted? What is the cheekiest thing you’ve seen?

I’m gonna need some love (and food) mum is going back tomorrow

Have a great week.
Don’t always say what on your mind. ❤️
P.s look who we met on the train home this morning!!
