MBE

I am truly humbled by the response to the announcement that I was to be made an MBE in the Queen’s New Years Honours. Almost as humbled as I am to receive the honour itself.

The question I have been asking myself is, What Now? What does it mean?
I don’t know what the answer is but I’m hoping and imagining that it will be a brilliant day out for the family, serving to inspire my boys.

I’m hoping that it will allow me a different kind of access, when it comes to raising money for charity.

I’m hoping I can get a pay increase. (No chance)

Whatever it means, it’s been a fab start to the New Year and if it serves to inspire any ordinary person [like me] to help others then that’s ok with me.
Happy New Year
