Are degrees ever useless?

I was hugely confused when I heard about a clampdown on useless, low level degrees. What is that? Who studies that and where? Eventually [Coz I’m sad] I worked out they are talking about degrees in the creative industries.

Then I wake up this morning and hear that 1 million people came to the country last year for concerts.
10 million people moved around the country booking hotels using the transport system and buying stuff. And that over 6 billion pounds had been contributed to the UK economy. 🤷🏽‍♂

Am I missing something?

Anyway I still have getting a (useless) degree on my bucket list and I’m saving for my children to get one too.

Recently, someone took offence to my saying I expect my children to get a degree 😂

They started telling me I was a control freak and perhaps I should let my children decide for themselves.  This is someone who has a degree by the way.

Anyway, I told her that she was right, they didn’t need a degree but that the money I was saving for this thing they didn’t need would buy me a nice convertible instead.
