Lovers Rock is a subgenre of reggae that originated in the UK in the 1970s and gained popularity in the 1980s. It is characterized by its romantic lyrics\, soulful melodies\, and smooth reggae rhythms. \nThe Concert series which debuted in 2010 has featured over 150 artistes including some of the biggest names in the genre including\, Janet Kay MBE\, Carroll Thompson & Dennis Bovell.
